Sustaining Tomorrow Together

Our vision is to pioneer a global effort where environmental stewardship drives prosperity.

Our Story

Senus, formerly known as FARMEYE, was founded in 2017 by Dr Eoghan Finneran, Brendan Allen, and Joe Desbonnet as a spin-out from a University of Galway research project. Senus was a member of the first Galway cohort of the NDRC accelerator and was successful in attracting corporate customers within months of launching. Since our inception as FARMEYE, we have experienced rapid growth. Now rebranded as Senus, we are expanding our reach as a software company, undertaking projects in Ireland, the UK, and mainland Europe.

Behind The Name

Senus derives its name from the mighty River Shannon, originally called the “River Sēnos” or “Senus” by the ancient Roman geographer Ptolemy, who created the first map of Ireland. This historical reference not only highlights the rich cultural heritage of our brand but also signifies our commitment to navigating and charting new paths in the realm of environmental technology. Just as the River Shannon is a vital artery for commerce, nature and technology in Ireland, Senus aims to be a channel for innovative technology solutions for nature measurement and mapping in the modern world.

Our Promise

Our promise is to revolutionise organisations and their environmental practices with frontline software that delivers accurate assessments of nature. This commitment drives our innovation, ensuring that businesses and institutions have accessible tools to make informed decisions, meet sustainability goals, and unlock the full potential of their environmental assets.
