Senus, formerly known as FARMEYE, is a leading provider of measurement, reporting, and verification (MRV) solutions for farms and natural ecosystems, is thrilled to announce its partnership with SQAT (Soil Quality Analysis Tool), an EU Horizon project with 10 distinguished partners and a budget of €2.9 million. This three year initiative aims to revolutionise soil management by developing autonomous robots capable of conducting infield soil sampling and in situ analysis through advanced sensor technology.
SQAT is at the forefront of next-generation soil quality analysis and precision farming solutions. The research project integrates digitalisation, robotics, and smart algorithms to address critical challenges in soil health. The collaboration includes universities and SMEs from eight different countries, featuring some of the leading academics in the area of robotics, sensors, agronomy, remote sensing, and more.
“We are excited to be part of the SQAT research project. Technology is going to play a huge role in the future of agriculture, and to be at the cutting edge of this is very exciting for us” said Brendan Allen, Director of Business Development and Co-founder at Senus. “Through this project we are expanding our networks across the EU, collaborating with some of the smartest people in the sector, while also advancing our own R&D at Senus”.
